If you enjoy your liquid gold, but are concerned with watching what it may do to your waistline, you may be interested to know that there are some options that may suit you.

First, lets discuss what is actually in beer that may upset your diet plans!

Beer tops the alcohol bad list with approximately 140 calories & 8g of carbohydrates per average serve.

Although one or two beers is not too bad, after having four beers two slices of take away pizza, you can see the calories may really build up!

What some companies have done, have recognized the need to drink beer, but have made it more friendly by reducing the carbohydrates, why not try these:

1) Tooheys “Maxim”: Having 1.6g of carbohydrates per 100ml and a strong 4.6% alcohol.

2) Carlton “LJ”: With 20% fewer calories & 4.6% alcohol

3) Carlton “Pure Blonde”: With only 0.9g of carbohydrates per 100ml

4) XXXX “DL” Larger: Fewer calories with 4.4% alchohol

Try some of these options out & as they say you can “indulge without the bulge”, and remember “it’s not the beer that makes you fat, but the nuts you eat with it”
